Lindsey and Steven married at Mellerstain this weekend. For a change the weather was kind and the ceremony took place outside, which was lovely for photographs.

Harry and I went up to Edinburgh to watch the festival parade today. Glad we did. Very colourful and entertaining. This blog page is giving me the incentive to carry my camera around a bit more now on my days off, and I’m enjoying it!!!

Melisa and Mark travelled up from Stoke on Trent to marry today at Duns Castle, along with around 30 friends and family. A fun day guys!
another miserable day off and on, weather wise. However lovely wedding at Mertoun Church followed by a new venue for us – Kippilaw House. Great for wedding photos but because of the weather didn’t get the chance to use all the locations we had wanted. Great opportunities nevertheless.
As a wedding photographer you get to meet some very interesting people and today was no exception. a lovely couple from Norway – Aina a nurse, and Martin, a Captain in the Norwegian Airforce, married in the grounds of Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, just beside the river. Thankfully their English was much better than my Norwegian! This was their first visit to Scotland. Was a pleasure meeting you both and being involved in your special day.

Back to the old home territory at the weekend. Always nice! Saw a few weel kent faces as well. It was very much a case of dodging showers but we had some nice options of locations - the church at Channelkirk is lovely with superb views and then the use of Thirlestane Castle prior to the reception at The Lodge was very welcome between showers.
Photographed a great, fun wedding at the weekend. The four of us were also guests as we are family friends. Gemma and ‘Tilly’ were great fun as you will see in the photos. When have you ever seen a groom fire eating!!!!! Their dance routine was superb and the antics with the top hat and tails brilliant. But what else could you expect from ex Butlins red coats! Congrats to both and thanks again for a great day.
Saturday’s wedding was a bit nostalgic for us, and I have to say also made us feel our age! We have happy memories of babysitting the groom and his sisters. Its always nice to be involved in weddings, but more so when it is someone you know well. Best wishes to the happy couple from Scottie and I. x

Great Day. Great Weather. Karen and Brian celebrated their 10 year anniversary by both riding. Karen on duty with Nikkie Halliday, and Brian alongside Angie and Jobbie. In the afternoon we visited the shows to meet Douglas, Margaret and Penny Cadona who host the principals in the , as they have done over many years.
